Is SPIEX involved in all investment processes in the country?


The SPIEX attends New Investments and Re-Investment of companies already established in the country. They are given guidance in the processes of establishing their investment project, as well as support in coordinating meetings with relevant institutions for the development of their operations.

What are the requirements to establish a company in Nicaragua?


To establish a company in Nicaragua, you need to prepare the company's articles of incorporation and certify it by a Nicaraguan notary public. In addition, it is required to acquire the corporate and accounting books and submit the application for registration as a merchant before the Mercantile Registry with a photocopy of the identity or residence card. It is also necessary to have at least two partners and a minimum share capital of C$10,000.

What tax incentives does the country offer to the investor?


The national customs regime in Nicaragua offers various tax benefits for companies engaged in the import and export of goods. Some of these benefits include exemption from income taxes and VAT for companies that are exclusively dedicated to exporting. There are also tax and tariff exemptions for companies operating in Free Zones. In addition, the temporary admission regime for inward processing and export facilitation offers reductions and exemptions of customs duties and taxes.
