BCN and IMF conclude working meetings on Article IV Consultation

The Central Bank of Nicaragua (BCN) makes public that on November 22, 2024, the working meetings between a delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Government of Nicaragua concluded to review the state and prospects of the country's economy, within the framework of the evaluation known as Article IV Consultation.


During its visit, the IMF held working meetings with various public institutions and economic agents, including the private sector and the financial system. As a result of these meetings, the IMF delegation collected updated information on the Nicaraguan economy.


At the end of its visit, the IMF presented its Final Declaration to the Government of Nicaragua, in which it indicated that: “Nicaragua maintains a robust economic performance…The economic outlook points to sustained growth, in a context of prudent macroeconomic policies and solid external and fiscal positions.The full statement is available on the IMF's website at the following address:
