A delegation from the Government of Nicaragua is in Zhengzhou, China, participating in the 18th China-Latin America and Caribbean Business Summit.
The Nicaraguan delegation includes Laureano Ortega Murillo, Presidential Advisor; Fernando Sánchez, Director of the Free Trade Zone Commission; Karina Mejía, Director of the Secretariat of Investments and Exports; and Ramiro Cruz, Nicaraguan Ambassador to China.
During the Summit, the delegation is holding a series of meetings with companies from the People's Republic of China to promote investment in Nicaragua.
Today, they visited the headquarters of the mining company THOMAS METAL and the bus manufacturer YUTONG, reinforcing long-term investment and cooperation projects between these companies in Nicaragua.
The delegation also participated in the Summit Plenary Session on the theme “Embracing Innovation and Intelligence for a Shared Future” and in the Parallel Forum on Intelligent Machinery.
Comrade Laureano Ortega Murillo met with Comrade Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of Trade and Investment, and with Comrade An Wei, Member of the Standing Committee of the Henan Provincial Committee of the CPC and Secretary of the Zhengzhou Municipal Committee of the CPC.
