Nicaraguan Delegation Meets with Chinese Institutions and Companies in Beijing

The Nicaraguan Government Delegation, currently in Beijing participating in the China Cooperation Forum, held a series of meetings today with Chinese companies developing projects in Nicaragua.


Meetings were held with the companies CSCSEC, CAMCE, CCCC, CCSI, POWERCHINA, TBEA, YUTONG, and HUAWEI with the aim of following up and promoting all the projects being developed with Chinese funding for Nicaragua in the areas of infrastructure, telecommunications, natural disaster prevention and response, electrification, renewable energies, housing, and public transportation.


They also held a meeting with Comrade Guo Weiping, Vice Minister of the Commission of Ethnic Affairs of the People's Republic of China, reiterating mutual support in defending the rights of ethnic groups and indigenous communities of both countries and promoting cooperation in Human Rights, Culture, Art, and Traditions.


Comrade Laureano Ortega delivered remarks at the Panel on Digital Technologies at the China Cooperation Forum Conference.


The Nicaraguan delegation is composed of Comrades Laureano Ortega Murillo, Presidential Advisor, Valdrack Jaentzke, Presidential Advisor for International Affairs, and Michael Campbell, Nicaraguan Ambassador to China.
