More Trade and Investment in China

A delegation from the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of the Republic of Nicaragua participated in the “Global Trade and Investment Promotion Summit 2026,” organized in Beijing by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).


The important event was attended by Mr. Han Zheng, Vice President of China; Mr. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the CCPIT; and Ms. Yolanda Díaz Pérez, Second Vice President of the Government of Spain; trade ministers from Africa, the Americas, and Asia; economic experts; diplomats accredited to China; and members of the media.


The event highlighted the importance of strengthening trade cooperation and opposing unilateral measures that only destabilize international markets and increase the cost of living for people around the world. Vice President Han Zheng of China emphasized the Chinese government's commitment to strengthening trade and investment as drivers of development for nations, particularly in the Global South.


Through its participation in this event, Nicaragua is positioning itself as a strategic destination for foreign investment, gaining visibility in the business markets of the People's Republic of China and other countries.


Representing Nicaragua were Minister Erwin Ramírez, Minister of Development, Industry and Commerce (MIFIC); Karina Mejía, Director of the Secretariat for Investment and Export Promotion (SPIEX); and Ramiro Cruz, Nicaraguan Ambassador to China.
