Nicaragua Presents Special Economic Zones Law Translated into Chinese in Beijing

Nicaragua presented the official Chinese translation of the Belt and Road Special Economic Zones Law in China, a tool designed to attract new investment opportunities to businesses in the Asian giant.


The launch took place during the Nicaragua-China Investment Promotion Forum in Beijing, where Nicaraguan authorities highlighted the advantages the country offers for developing productive, industrial, technological, and logistical projects.


The translation of this legislation will allow Chinese businesspeople and investors to learn firsthand about the legal framework created by Nicaragua to facilitate capital inflows and strengthen economic cooperation between the two nations.


During the event, the Nicaraguan ambassador to China also emphasized that the law demonstrates the country's commitment to creating favorable conditions for foreign investment.

Nicaragua presents itself to you as a country that welcomes Chinese investment, committed to development and prepared to receive investment projects that will generate benefits for both China and Nicaragua,” he stated.


For his part, Laureano Ortega indicated that the objective is to continue strengthening the economic relationship with China and promote greater investment in sectors strategic to national development.


Our goal is for China to be the main investor in Nicaragua and one of our main markets,” he affirmed.


The authorities also presented investment opportunities in areas such as infrastructure, agribusiness, renewable energy, tourism, technology, mining, manufacturing, and logistics, highlighting Nicaragua's competitive advantages and its access to important international markets.


With this launch, our country seeks to facilitate access for Chinese businesspeople to information on the country's legal and economic conditions, promoting new investment projects and greater cooperation between both nations.
