This Wednesday, August 12, 2026, the Nicaraguan Embassy in China officially inaugurated a National Trade, Tourism, and Cultural Promotion Pavilion in the city of Wuhan, Hubei Province, in central China.
This new space for promoting the country is an important pillar in diversifying export destinations for Nicaraguan products. Furthermore, this national pavilion will serve as a permanent platform to promote investment and cooperation opportunities with the People's Republic of China.
The opening ceremony of the Nicaraguan National Pavilion in Wuhan was attended by local government officials, Chinese businesspeople, members of the Nicaraguan community, and Chinese media. This pavilion will promote internationally recognized, high-quality Nicaraguan products, such as coffee, beef, seafood, sugar, tobacco, cigars, and rum, while also showcasing cooperation and investment opportunities in strategic sectors of our nation.
The Nicaraguan Diplomatic Mission in China conveyed greetings from the Co-Presidents of Nicaragua, Commander Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo, and emphasized that, in addition to promoting trade, the opening of this National Pavilion will serve as “a bridge between China and Nicaragua,” bringing our two sister nations much closer.
The inauguration of this National Pavilion is part of the celebrations for the Fifth Anniversary of the Reestablishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Nicaragua, and is aligned with the Nicaraguan government's trade promotion strategy.
