Comrade Laureano Ortega Murillo, Presidential Advisor for Investments, Trade and International Cooperation and the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Nicaragua, Comrade Chen Xi, received this first delegation at the Augusto C. Sandino International Airport.
Comrade Laureano Ortega Murillo, Presidential Advisor for Investments, Trade and International Cooperation, in his words gave the most cordial and warm welcome to brother and colleague Ren Hongbin.
“The President of the Chinese Council for the Promotion of Trade and Investment has come to accompany us and lead a large delegation of Chinese businessmen, who are coming to participate in the seventeenth China-Latin America and the Caribbean Business Summit, which will be held in Managua on November 18 and 19. We feel extremely proud, grateful to God, grateful to the Government of the People's Republic of China, Comrade Xi Jinping, its president, the Chinese people, the Communist Party of China, for having decided to hold this important summit here, in Nicaragua, where this brotherly people is,” he said.
Comrade Laureano, on behalf of the Government of President Commander Daniel Ortega Saavedra and Comrade Vice President Rosario Murillo, reiterated the warm welcome to brother Ren Hongbin and all the Chinese brothers, who will be participating in this important Summit.
“We already have a list of more than 220 businessmen from the People's Republic of China who will be taking part in this important business meeting, which will serve to continue strengthening the ties of cooperation between China and Nicaragua and of course between China and all the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean. Let us remember that our President, Commander Daniel, and President Xi Jinping have elevated relations to a Strategic Association, so it is an honor for us that the platform that Nicaragua represents for trade and investments is the venue for this great business meeting,” said Comrade Laureano.
The Vice Minister General of Mific, Comrade Erwin Ramírez, and Comrade Karina Mejía, Director of the Secretariat of Investments and Exports, were also present at this reception for the delegations.
The Summit will be held on November 18 and 19 in Managua, Nicaragua at the Olof Palme Convention Center, with the motto “Joining Forces, Creating Opportunities: New Horizons for China and Latin America and the Caribbean.”
